Al-Gharafa 0-0 Al-Rayyan: Unbeaten leaders held goalless at Thani Bin Jassim

Al Rayyan came to Thani Bin Jassim unbeaten and top of the table, and went home with a goalless draw. They had most of the ball and made more chances than the hosts, yet every one was turned away, by the Al Gharafa goalkeeper or by a defence that kept its shape for the full match.

With no goals at either end, the half-time score was 0-0, the same as at the finish. The match followed one line throughout. Al Rayyan pushed forward and probed for an opening, and Al Gharafa, organised at the back, gave them nothing. For all their possession, the leaders could not find a way through.
