Al-Sailiya 2-2 Qatar SC: Joselu scores in stoppage time to earn Al Sailiya a first point

Al Sailiya were two goals down until the 82nd minute at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium on Saturday, and still finished level with Qatar SC at 2-2. The equaliser came in the fifth minute of stoppage time. Qatar SC were clearing a free-kick when the ball reached Joselu in front of goal, and he beat goalkeeper Ali Nader.

Qatar SC led 1-0 at half-time. Niall Mason scored in the 34th minute, heading in a free-kick that Said Brahmi delivered from outside the box on the left. Joao Pedro made it 2-0 in the 51st minute with a free-kick of his own, which went past Al Sailiya goalkeeper Bautista Burke, low to his left at the post. For half an hour after that, Qatar SC looked comfortable. Younes Belhanda changed that in the 82nd minute with a free-kick from just outside the area that swerved into the top right corner, and Joselu's late finish followed.

The draw gives Al Sailiya their first point of the league season, and in Week 6 it is the first match they have come through without defeat. Qatar SC have now drawn three times and stay on three points.
