Al-Wakrah 3-2 Al-Arabi: Dala's 88th-minute goal completes Al Wakrah's recovery from two down
Al-Wakrah 3-2 Al-Arabi in Week 7 of the Qatar Stars League 2026-27: the goals and how they came, from the league's report.
Jacinto Dala scored in the 88th minute to give Al Wakrah a 3-2 win over Al Arabi at Khalifa International Stadium on Saturday. They had been two goals behind at half-time and scored all three of their goals after the break, the last two within five minutes of each other.
Michael Olunga put Al Arabi ahead in the 38th minute and added a second in the 45th, so they went in 2-0 up at the interval. Al Wakrah did not score until the 69th minute, when Nasser Al Yazidi pulled one back. Amin Zahzouh equalised in the 83rd minute and Dala scored the winner five minutes later. Deep into stoppage time, at 90+11, Al Arabi's Alexis Perez was shown a red card for violent conduct.
The win was Al Wakrah's third of the league season and takes them to 11 points. Al Arabi stay on 12, which leaves a single point between the two clubs. Olunga's two goals before half-time ended up earning his side nothing.
