Al-Sailiya 1-2 Lusail: Rodrigo Moreno scores in fourth minute of added time to win it
Al-Sailiya 1-2 Lusail in Week 8 of the Qatar Stars League 2026-27: the goals and how they came, from the league's report.
Rodrigo Moreno settled it in the fourth minute of added time at Suhaim Bin Hamad on Saturday, giving Lusail a 2-1 win over a side that had led them for most of the first half. Until then a draw had looked the likeliest result, with neither team able to find a way through after the break.
Al Sailiya were ahead in the third minute, Andri Syahputra scoring to put Lusail behind almost from the kick-off. Lusail spent the next half hour working their way back into the game while Al Sailiya tried to hold on to what they had. The equaliser came in the 38th minute from Khaled Mohammed, and it was 1-1 at half-time. The second half produced no further goals until Moreno's, deep into stoppage time.
The win lifts Lusail to nine points. Al Sailiya remain bottom of the table with one point, and after eight weeks they are still waiting for their first win of the season.
