Al-Wakrah 3-2 Al-Gharafa: Jacinto Dala's stoppage-time winner brings a first league win
Al-Wakrah 3-2 Al-Gharafa in Week 5 of the Qatar Stars League 2026-27: the goals and how they came, from the league's report.
Jacinto Dala scored twice late on as Al Wakrah came from behind to beat Al Gharafa 3-2 at Khalifa International Stadium. The Angolan forward equalised in the 78th minute and won it at 90+3, after his side had been a goal down for most of the second half. One of his goals came from a shot inside the box that Khalifa Ababacar, in the Al Gharafa goal, could not hold, and the ball spilled away from him into an open net.
Aissa Laidouni gave Al Wakrah the lead in the 38th minute. Al Gharafa were level before the break, though only just: Yacine Brahimi scored from the penalty spot at 45+10, and it was 1-1 at half-time. Ferjani Sassi put Al Gharafa in front in the 48th minute, and they held that lead until Dala's first goal.
This was Al Wakrah's first win of the league season, and it takes them to five points. Al Gharafa, who looked set to take all three points for much of the second half, stay on four.
